Is there a way to show only uncategorized messages in Samsung apps? I love being able to find categorized ones more easily, but in order to see if anything else is there, I have to search through everything, including the already-categorized ones. I have to maintain a number of ongoing group texts, so this is really time consuming and risks overlooking something important.

In Samsung Messages, under the All category, the newest messages rise to the top, pinned, then unpinned after that. Unread Messages have an orange dot.

Thanks, Dan - I do take advantage of those features. But I'd like to see only the uncategorized ones (new and old) after I've sent some to categories. Any way to do that?

You can do that in settings of the messaging app. If you're meaning the samsung messages app that is. Go to settings and at the top should be conversation categories just turn that off or you want the feature but want to see the non categorized ones in the app itself. You would just click the filter icon at the top (not the settings one) and click uncategorized only

Oh, thank you! Yes, that was exactly what I needed, Laura. Don't know how I'd missed the filter button - I guess I expected it to be a setting. Perfect!

I actually just saw this (see attached). We can now sort by categorized and uncategorized in Samsung Messages. Was there an update?20231011_164716.gif

LauraG had posted that, and it was exactly what I needed.

This is a really awesome feature I'd somehow missed for several years, even though I'm a power user. Has made manging my 20 or so ongoing threads SO much easier!
