Please tell me why we have $1000 phones.. and even if you dont.. how is it that Samsung has not created a video record widget?? So that you push one button and it starts recording video?? I just had one of those moments where I needed to record and I opened my camera had to slide over to video and hit record.. and for some reason even after that.. it wasnt recording.. there should be a one hit button widget option that strictly starts recording video when you press it and need a quick video record.

Double tapping the power will immediately launch the camera in all circumstances where the phone is on. There is unfortunately no way to launch directly into video, however, using the camera assistant, you can configure the shutter to take video in picture mode while holding down the shutter button, or in regular camera settings you can configure the volume button to act as a video recording button when the camera is launched. Additionally you can enable the camera to remember what mode it was in, so if you leave it in video it will stay in video next time you launch it instead of returning to camera. You may also be able to configure a custom Bixby routine to auto launch the video recorder.

You can launch directly into video in camera settings - settings to keep - camera mode. This option opens the camera in the last mode used, either the camera or video. You still have to start the video so it's still not one button start but it's a little faster.
