My concerns about the Samsung Keyboard in the format of an article:

Many Samsung Galaxy users believe that when they set another keyboard — like Google’s Gboard or Microsoft’s SwiftKey — as the default, the native Samsung Keyboard is completely out of the picture. The truth, however, is far more alarming: the Samsung Keyboard remains active in the background, even when not in use, and it stores a clipboard history of everything you copy on your device.

That means anything from casual links to highly sensitive information — passwords, banking details, or even private photos — could be sitting in that hidden clipboard. And the worst part? There’s no official way to disable this feature.

Where’s the problem?

The Samsung Keyboard cannot be uninstalled or disabled on any Galaxy model.

Even when another keyboard is set as the default, Samsung’s continues running.

On some devices, it doesn’t even appear in the app list, making it impossible to revoke permissions.

Clipboard history can only be cleared manually, and sometimes not fully.

In short: users are forced to accept that whatever they copy is saved in an app they didn’t choose to use.

Why is this serious?

Compromised privacy: passwords and confidential data remain stored without the user’s knowledge.

Exposure to malware: any malicious app with access to the keyboard could potentially exploit this.

Lack of transparency: Samsung does not provide users with control to disable or restrict clipboard storage.

Potential cloud leaks: in some cases, clipboard content could be synced to Samsung Cloud.

Conclusion

The Samsung Keyboard case is a clear example of coercive design: users are given no choice, forced to live with an intrusive feature that cannot be disabled. The danger isn’t just for those who use the keyboard, but for those who don’t — yet are still monitored.

Just don't copy your sensitive information because if you don't, Samsung keyboard won't save it. The reason why they do that is the multi-control and the ecosystem of Samsung devices, so you can copy on your phone and paste on your tablet like magic. And just to let you know that Google and Microsoft are the masters of no privacy at all. So, if you're really concerned about privacy, I highly recommend you not use Google Keyboard or Microsoft SwiftKey because every single letter you type is copied and sent to their servers without your consent. So be careful of Google and Microsoft.

It's all about of user experience, isn't it? lol.

But you are absolutely right about Microsoft and Google. I should have mentioned FUTO or Heliboard keyboards instead.

There is no way to disable the clipboard in the Samsung Keyboard settings.

You can only to deactivate save screenshots there.

Even disabling the clipboard when using others keyboard apps, everything will be saved on the Samsung keyboard in the background.
