I used to like using my phone until one uI 8, It's such a design nightmare. I don't even want to pick it up half the time and I've got people knocking on my door because I don't answer my phone or look at my messages because I hate my phone that much. I don't even want to see it. Half the time, I don't even know where it is. Because I could care less. Because when I have to look at that ugly notification screen, I just black out I don't even see any of the notifications I don't pay attention to messages.

Or anything cause the phone is so hostile with the design. I'm pretty close to taking a hammer to it. And just crushing it up and going, to buy me a new phone. It's such a nightmare. I done i'm not buying another samsung phone. Not for you to be pushing out seven years of this kind of junk on to it. People accuse me of not answering their calls. And messages and you know what? I'm sitting up defending myself, and I'm thinking after I thought about it. And I'm like, well, they're right because I hate the phone. So I 'm not even paying attention to it. I could care less where it is or what it's doing.

Yes, UI 8.0 is such a nightmare. Ever since I updated to UI 8.0/16, I can't even make and receive phone calls anymore. That's the main reasons to have a phone... Sigh ???!!

You can make your phone look anyway you want to!

Just a few examples of what you can do with a little know how!1770169259377.jpg1770169259390.jpg1770169259401.jpg1770169259413.jpg

What's wrong with the notification screen? Looks fine to me. Easily readable.

Sheesh, if a design esthetic is enough to make you go off the deep end like that, perhaps you are better off with a stock android that meets your standards. As @Robin621k stated, you can customize your phone's look - even the notification area.

If you go to work and find they painted your office walls a color you hate and rearranged the cubicles, do you quit your job?

iPhones are designed to be used by people like this poster that have no desire to learn about and customize their phone screen. Samsung and the other Android phone manufacturers put a lot of effort into their phone's features and updates. They are constantly adding new features, which sometimes doesn't work out as intended. This all requires users to be willing to learn what's new and how to configure it and use it. Users unwilling to use and operate devices using this customizable and evolving Android environment should consider switching to Apple iOS devices. They will likely be much happier where there are much fewer changes over time to cope with.

Have you seen iOS 26?
People were livid with the liquid glass. They had to give them a toggle to turn it off.

Apple apparently carelessly attempted to imitate Android! I'll bet that they don't do anything like that again!

There is nothing on android comparable to the Liquid Glass design. That's not saying that its good or bad, but there is factually no android interface that uses a similar design philosophy.
