does anyone else use the food intake option for Samsung health? do you notice your nutrition information is off??? I tried logging yogurt that has 18g protein ON THE CONTAINER & Samsung health read the bar code and told me it's 17g of protein and 1 less carbohydrate than what the container said. I also had it synced with myfitnesspal and Samsung health skews the nutrition information. it'll say I consumed a few calories less than what i actually did and will say i consumed wayyyyy more protein than I did. for example, this morning for breakfast i consumed around 9g of protein (in life & on myfitnesspal). Samsung health is saying I consumed 38.4g. like what??????? that is so off its not even funny.

I don't use it because I don't have the time or inclination to log my food.  I understand from seeing comments from other people over time, there is a decided lack of macro nutrient counting and you can't make food plans in advance.  One of the reasons I chose not to use it is because, being diabetic, I need to be able to create a diabetic food plan and have the macros match up.  There used to be an app called Spark People that I used, and it was perfect. Alas, it no longer exists. My Fitness Pal won.  If you are using MFP, do you really need to use the Samsung Health app for food?

Doesn't MFP give badges?  I used it for about 5 minutes once upon a time when I was comparing it to Spark People.  Still liked Spark better, but I guess I was the minority.

Seriously, though, if the numbers are getting skewed, there's either some crossed data translation, or something else wrong. When the app reads a bar code or syncs data with another app, it should contain the proper information.  Try clearing the data and cache from the Health app and see if that improves anything.  Clearing the data will not clear any actual data, it just removes any customizations and settings for the app, so you will probably have to re-sync with MFP and any smart things devices.  If that does not work, I would put in an error report, because one expects their data to be accurate.  That would be like if I had a connected scale and the scale said 160 lbs and by the time it got to the app, it said 190 lbs.

not that I'm aware of, but i don't have the paid version of mfp so I'm not sure. and yeah I submitted a report to Samsung about it but wondering if anyone else has the same issue. its one of those things where you aren't gonna notice its wrong unless you sit and actually look at it

You don't break the fats out by saturated versus trans. Versus unsaturated.

What so mean? Did your food tile disappear? Open the health app, tap the dot menu, select edit home, rap the "+", look for the food tile and add it back. Place it in the position you want

Not there at all?  The only way it wouldn't appear in the add list is if it is already in place. Perhaps it got moved further down the page.
