I have been trying for a week to get Samsung cloud to do auto backup at night (plugged in, screen off) but it just won't do it. I have to manually back up periodically. Is anyone else having this problem? I believe I have all settings correct- permissions are granted, the cloud app is not set to sleep, backup categories are chosen. My galaxy s24 is in a Samsung smart view cover which I was told can be closed when I plug the phone in at night and that shouldn't interfere with backup. Google play store updates with it closed. Any suggestions on how to fix this or is it a glitch in the cloud app?

Samsung Apps and ServicesMy cloud app battery use is on optimized - that's the default. My phone backs up every night. You should start getting the auto backups now. If that does not work, change it to unrestricted.

1. Try clearing the Samsung cloud app cache - settings > apps > Samsung cloud > storage > clear cache
2. A simple restart most times can fix issues like this.
3. Clearing the "cache partition" on device could help as well.
Tap link below on how to clear the cache partition.

The Samsung cloud just doesn't auto backup. For reference here's what I did last night: Wifi is on in my house all of the time and my phone is on the wifi. I went into Samsung cloud app settings and saw the battery was set on restricted so I put it to optimized. Same with the cloud assistant app. I did a partition cache wipe also. Nothing helped. I saw on another post somewhere that others were complaining the auto back up just doesn't work. So I guess I'll be doing manual backups.

Samsung Apps and ServicesSo finally I got it to work. Don't really know why but Cloud app and Cloud Assistant app set on optimized. It seems the Samsung Internet app had something to do with it. I tweaked the settings on that 2 days in a row. All in all I'm happy. Thanks to all for help.
