When I try to send a text with my Samsung One UI 5.1/Android 13 phone a suggested recipient that keeps coming up is someone (always the same person) that I almost never text or phone. There should be a way to remove that person from the suggested list.
So, you would rather live with the constant annoyance of this recurring thing, rather than spend 5 minutes reconfiguring your settings. More power to you, only you can decide which is worse for you. I gave you other workarounds, such as initiating your text from within the contacts app rather than the messaging app. it's a recurring "bug" because of the app being updated on top of updates and sometimes things not properly being removed from the app after the update. During app updates settings get changed/removed/added and sometimes things don't get removed that should - like phantom contacts information. Apps, like the phone, do need occasional maintenance. It is not a bug in the OS, it's a housekeeping issue. The only way it's going to get fixed for you is to clear the app data - period. There will be no update that fixes it.
