There needs to be an option to delete the clipboard history after a specified time. Currently the clipboard from the side panel holds on to it indefinitely.

I'm in One UI 6.1 on Android 14

You know that you can clear the clipboard edge panel at any time, right?

Yes. The point is sensitive info like passwords can reside in clipboard history. There should be an auto clear option

How often do you let others have access to your phone, that someone seeing your password is an issue?  You can clear your clipboard after you enter a password, so it immediately clears, or you can just clear the clipboard item with the password.  Even with an auto clear option, it's likely to be a couple of days before it auto clears, all the while that sensitive info being up there.  One of the whole points of the edge panel is that you can reuse your clipboard items.

Bitwarden for example enforces a 30sec clipboard clear option. The risk is with unauthorized app access to clipboard

Then use Bitwarden, not the edge panel.  Honestly, it's not a big deal to either clear the clipboard after you copy a password, or at the end of each day or any time you feel like it.  The edge panels slide right out, so you don't even have to leave your current screen. Or just use the clipboard on the keyboard.

I do use bitwarden. The issue is bitwarden can't seem to clear it out of the edge panel. It does on my SwiftKey keyboard. Not sure if it is because the edge panel is a system app and bitwarden isn't. Just because you can clear it manually doesn't mean there isn't additional convenience to be had. Having clipboard uncleared for an extended period is a security risk. An auto clear is easy enough to implement from Samsung's part. Nobody is forcing you to use it. Which is why I'm requesting it as a feature suggestion. You do you
