The update is absolutely horrendous. Put the notification bar back the way it was, along with almost everything else as well. Absolutely no thank you.

You can easily change the notification bar with 3 clicks

Quick Notification settings

  1. Swipe down from the top right of the screen.
  2. Click the Pencil icon in upper right.
  3. Click the Panel settings in upper left
  4. Change the setting from Separate to Together.

1. The biggest issue I am having is that my music player app keeps disappearing. I will pause it to do something else, and suddenly it is no longer in my swipe-down bar to resume.
2. My Gmail notifications are grouping poorly i want to not have things in bubbles it feels too compartmentalized
3. I have noticed that my clock widget is ridiculously small, and the clock text cannot be resized. That's BS.
4. I hate all the rounded edges

I was excited for this update. So far it's cool. The downsides are the battery life got slashed, the automatic screen orientation only works half the time, I get a random computer mouse icon in the middle of my screen sometimes, and the navigation bar usage makes the screen freak out. Seems like some operating software needs some fixes and hopefully the battery life as well. I run my S24 Ultra on the "Light" performance mode and it still plummets. I'm not a heavy phone user. My phone shouldn't be under 70% in just 2 hours with light use.

I massively hate this update.

I can no longer have my app screen sort alphabetically because I swipe up to close the app screen.

The notifications are huge in the drop down, I can't see as much info as I could before.

I can no longer access my digital assistant by holding the home button. No I don't want to hold the power button to access it.

The clock widget is comically small now.

The search bar being at the bottom of the drawer pushes my apps closer to the top of the screen making it harder to access them.

This single update broke how I use my phone in a number of ways and I'm absolutely hating it. If Samsung is going to break my work flow that's been building since I got the Galaxy S3, I don't see a reason to stay with Samsung any more.

Edit:
This is such BS. I just got a A36 as a backup to my S24U (before updating my S24U to One Ui 7), the A36 came with One UI 7/Android 15 and it can still do the hold home button to Assistant.

Why do you hate us Samsung?
