Samsung Apps and ServicesI’m having an issue with the Modes and Routines app on my Samsung smartphone. I’ve set up a routine where opening one app (let’s call it App A) triggers the opening of another app (App B). It works fine at first—App B opens when I launch App A. However, when I switch away from App A and then return to it, App B opens again, which I don’t want. I’d like App B to open only once, the first time I open App A, not every time I go back to it.
Here’s my routine setup:
- If: App opened (App A)
- Then: Open an app (App B)
It seems the routine triggers every time App A is opened, which makes sense based on how it’s designed. But I’m wondering if there’s a way to change this so App B opens just once. Are there any settings or workarounds in Modes and Routines to make this happen? Or perhaps a third-party app that could handle this with more advanced options, like checking if App B is already open?
I think it’d be great if Modes and Routines could add a feature to check if an app is already running before triggering an action. I’d really appreciate any help, suggestions, or solutions you can share.
Thanks so much!

Samsung Apps and Services@theRedFox Sorry, but I don't see a solution to this in the way the routines are currently designed.
