Samsung Apps and ServicesYou know you can use Smart Things routines in conjunction with the normal modes and routines. I don't understand what is confusing about Smart Things routines. If you don't want to configure and use the pre-populated routines, you can delete them from the panel by long pressing on them and hitting the delete option. You can also reorder those, and any other routine you create by long pressing and arranging them in the order you want. If you do not want to create or even see any of the routines on the "discover" tab, just do not visit the discover tab, although it is helpful for those unfamiliar with routines to get the assist in configuring one. What do you mean by programming in some "random delays"? Delays for what? There is already an option in the creation of a Smart Things routine to add a delay between actions from 1 second to 24 hours. You can add delays between actions in a multiple action routine. You can use the routine creation assistant to help you create the routine you want.

Samsung Apps and ServicesAlexa usually needs to be controlled by its own routines feature, and may need an external like the app from the TV to control those elements. You also need to have the Alexa app on your TV.
