How do I get rid of these annoying news feeds that pop-up on the bottom of my lock screen every time I turn my phone on?

You need to open the Metro app and disable the lock screen settings

I mean, it's a budget carrier. Just like Straight Talk, Total, and TracFone. Of course they put bloatware and useless features.
