Hi,

I see there is an intention from Samsung not to solve that issue, it is been open for over 4 years

I own a55 with the latest software and still face the issue

I can see that Samsung is forcing its app, but the auto correction and Samsung algorithm is weak compared to Google

And really the sound disturbs my privacy

So what shall we do?

Lower the system sound slider. No one needs the system sounds to be loud anyway. I know this works, because I don't keep the keyboard sounds on, but I turned it on just to test and lowering the system volume is the answer. It is still a Google issue to fix, not a Samsung issue. There is something in their controls that do not act with the volume control in OneUI if the OP says it works on other brands. Three choices here: turn off the keypress sounds, lower the system volume, or switch to Samsung keyboard. There is also reporting it to Google. The immediate fix is lowering the system sound volume.

What are you referring to with regard to sound on the G-Board?  Key Click sounds? Talk to Text? What? I have been using G-Board for years and years and years.  There is no sound, unless you have turned on "sound on keypress" in the G-Board settings.  If you are referring to Talk to Text, you should switch to Google Voice typing, which will work with either keyboard.  Why should Samsung solve what appears to be a Google problem?  Even though whatever you are complaining about is happening with on a Samsung phone, it is still a Google issue.

I talk about the key press sound and in fact it is a one ui problem it is not related to google as this issue has been on for over 4 years and is focused only in samsung, sammobile talked about it

and there are plenty of complaints about that

Are you getting the sound or not getting the sound? You have to turn it on or off in the Gboard settings. Does it really make a difference as long as your words come out? I've never had an issue with it (on or off), nor have I seen other complaints about it, so it's not a OneUI problem, it's a "you" problem, so not Samsung's problem to fix. Even it was a OneUI problem, it would still be Google's problem to fix to make it compatible. Be specific about what your issue is. It may be as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling GBoard.

Oh, you are speaking about the sound *level" you did not say that. It is still not a Samsung issue, however, you can lower the volume on the system sound, which will also lower all system sounds.

Unfortunately, the sound level stays constant when you use gboard on a Samsung phone. It's either off, or really loud. There is no gradiation no matter what settings you try. So you have to either choose really loud or off. It's never been any different. I think that's what this person is trying to say.

It's a Google problem because it's Google's keyboard and they do the programming to put in the proper hooks to control certain things on the phones.
