QLED and The Frame TVs

In the last few weeks, Samsung updated the OS to the Frame TV and a function that I regularly used is no longer available. I'm writing in hope that someone can suggest a workaround (or if Samsung engineers read this, to bring the function back).

I have an Apple TV 4K media streamer for my Frame 55" 2022 TV. I'm assuming that other media streamers such as Chromecast, Roku, etc. would have a similar behavior that I am getting now post-OS update.

Prior to the update, I would be watching TV using the Apple TV 4K steamer, conclude for the evening, power off the streamer with the Siri remote, and the Frame would instantly go into the Art Mode and display artwork for 30 minutes (my settings) before the Frame would go to sleep. Post upgrade, I power off the streamer (Apple tells me the streamer goes to sleep, not powering off), but instead of the Frame displaying artwork, it is searching for a media source:

My only recourse now is to use the Samsung remote and manually navigate to the Art Mode and select the artwork, a multi-step process.

Is anyone else who is using a streamer experiencing this, and do you have a workaround?

Thanks,
David

1601.8 installed just fine over 1520 in the US.  You're doing it wrong.

I've installed every other update via USB before, I know how to do it. If there are specific instructions for this version that aren't listed on the website or that email, I'd love to know what they are.

If that's true than I suspect your TV isn't compatible.  What's the model number?

maybe it was targeted for the very specific model of David Weinberg (and or specific S/N who knows)...

I just installed it on my 65" QN65LS03BDFXZA (2022) just fine.

Other user probably not following the directions.

Unfortunately for you all, I don't use external devices so I can't comment on if this fixes the CEC problems.

or maybe others users are just as smart as you, but the update is designed to target specific model/variants.... hence the "no update found" we see on our models.

I have the 55" 2022 Frame (USA) on 1520.  The 1523 update posted on Samsung.com will not install.  I've done many updates via USB previously.  Download, extract, copy to USB, etc. Says no update available.

I have this model. QN65LS03BAFXZA No firmware update for it. Does Samsung actually care to fix this?
