My new Samsung TV is great BUT with my past TV I was used to different power on features which I really enjoyed. For instance, when I powered on my PlayStation the TV would turn on and straight to the PlayStation, and when I would turn on only my TV, then only the TV would turn on and it would go straight to the main menu. This makes sense to me. Additionally when I would turn off my Playstation the TV would also turn off with the PlayStation. It was simple. it seems my Samsung TV has to be selected on the options to either start with the last used app or always start with game mode. I've messed with all the settings on the TV and all the settings on the PlayStation and I can't get my Samsung to communicate with my PlayStation the way my old TV would.
I wish there were options on my TV to allow me to customize it.
Ie
-tv always starts at main menu when tv powers up, not on app, not on game mode.
-when playstation powers on the TV always switches over to PlayStation automatically without manually navigatingover to game mode.
-tv automatically turns on and off with PlayStation
The last TV I had was a Vizio, it always performed these actions, so it is quite annoying adjusting to the SamsungTV startup options. However I do like the sound and visual quality of my Samsung TV a lot better. The connection is also better. I just want the best of both worlds if that's possible 😂

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! You can try turning on the CEC options and ensuring the PS5 is plugged into the CEC port on your TV or One Connect, depending on the model. To do that, please go to Settings > General > External Device Manager and turn on Anynet+. Please let me know if this helps!
