I just picked up a Samsung G85NB LS32BG850NPXXU on an Amazon sale last week in the UK. I am a bit confused about the best settings, and whether I should have HDR enabled all the time on windows 11.

Here are my settings, and a few questions.

  • Model - Samsung G85NB LS32BG850NPXXU
  • Used for gaming and office
  • Software version - M-B8532GGZA-1011.3
  • Graphics card - MSI GeForce RTX 3080
  • Using display port
  • Windows 11
  • Nvidia colour settings
    • 32 bit
    • 10 bpc
    • Colour format RGB
    • Output range - full
  • Colour profile - Samsung SxxBG85x - I did not load this, is this loaded automatically? I just updated to a ICC profile from rtings
  • HDR set to on - should this always be on? If I turn it off, the screen is very bright, which is odd to me.
  • Adaptive-Sync On
  • Black equalizer 13
  • 240Hz Refresh rate
  • Picture Mode - Custom
  • Brightness - 100
  • Contrast - 75
  • Sharpness - 60
  • Colour
    • Colour Tone - normal
    • Red - 50
    • Green - 50
    • Blue - 50
    • Gamma - mode1
    • Saturation 50
  • Contrast enhancer - off
  • Local dimming - currently set to Auto - Should this be 'high'?
  • VRR control - off
  • Eco sensor mode - off

Is there anything else I should change?

Thanks for reading
