I just spent 2 hours with Samsung Support and YouTubeTV support on 1-28-2025...  At the end of my YouTubeTV support session, the YouTubeTV support person stated that YouTubeTV does not work with the Samsung TV's "Autorun last app" feature...

For fear the YouTubeTV support person was just trying to get me off the Chat box (and thinking this is likely a HUGE YouTubeTV oversight) , can anyone please confirm they are able to get YoutTubeTV to work with the "Autorun last app" feature of their Samsung TV?

Thanks all!!

Hello! Thank you for posting about this. Could you provide me with your model number? I would love to look into this further.

Itā€™s disappointing that your time with support didnā€™t lead to a resolution, especially with conflicting information. To answer your question, YouTube TV should work with the Autorun Last App feature on Samsung TVs, but there could be certain limitations or bugs that might cause issues.

The Autorun Last App feature is designed to automatically open the app you were last using when you power on the TV. Most apps, including YouTube TV, are typically compatible with this feature, but there can be glitches or restrictions in some cases.

If youā€™ve already tried all the common fixes (like updating the app, resetting TV settings, etc.) and the issue persists, the problem might indeed be specific to how YouTube TV interacts with your TV's firmware.

For confirmation from others, I'd recommend checking Samsung and YouTube TV community forums, as well as reviews or user experiences online to see if others have faced the same issue. If itā€™s widespread, it may be something both Samsung and YouTube need to address in future updates.

If the issue continues, it might be helpful to contact Samsung again to report the issue directly, or check if any firmware updates are pending for your TV that might fix the compatibility problem.
