Voice commands given in English are not recognized and being shown on screen in Russian.

I've had this tv since it released in 2017 and I have only ever had English set for the language for this tv.  As of today all voice commands given are not being recognized and when displayed on the tv, it's showing up in Russian.  

I have checked all of the language settings and they are set to English. I'm unable to check for an update to this tv for some reason as that option is grayed out and it's showing as offline in the smart things app.  

The only thing I really use the voice commands for is to turn on the sleep timer which I can do manually still, however, it's not convenient.  

There are also multiple posts on Reddit for this same issue happening on other models but no solutions as to how to fix it.  

Is there a fix for this issue?

Edit to add: the TV is connected to my network, I'm able to use streaming apps on it without issues and it does have my Samsung account connected.

Mine just started doing this too. I'm not sure if the language it's displaying is Russian or Finnish though. I've tried everything to fix this with no luck. If others are having this issue the problem might not be on our end

Was in an online chat with Samsung for this issue. The automated assistant couldn’t help so I was being transferred  to a person. I am over 2 hours in waiting for the human.

I'm guessing it had something to do with an update since so many people are experiencing it all of a sudden.

Can't be from update since 2017 mdls no longer get updates; I think its a hack against samsung's tvs. This same topic is on the EU samsung community and they have no answers as well.

I have 2 different Samsung models bought in 2017 and the both started doing this recently. I’ve combed through all the settings, reset tv, re-synced the remote and manually checked updates and no change. I’m in the US by the way.

Having same issue. Samsung TV model UN55MU650DF voice commands show on screen in Russian language. My father who is blind uses the voice command because he cannot see the on screen channel list so this problem makes the TV useless. Please fix.
