Samsung u8000 TV w/ Samsung HT-E5400 Home entertainmentsystem

Recently purchased the TV and have had HT-E5400 for several years (still works good)

My problem is that I can't get the HT-E5400 to work with the u8000.

It's an older system but good it isn't work.   Anyway to make it work with the u8000?
