Sorry have to create an account to just rant about this Samsung care plus scam.
So my 4 month old S95D just decided to kick the bucket, whenever it is plugged into the outlet it is tripping the breaker it is on. I knew S95D had this sort of issue reported all over the internet so I got Samsung care plus on it. But oh boy... wrong move.
First dig up the Samsung care plus portal for appliance is weird enough since it is different contractor from the Galaxy phones.
Then claims just keep getting denied over there, and guess what that's because Samsung care plus 2 years doesn't cover the first year because TV is still under warranty. This is some sort of scam ? if it is extended warranty, state it so. What if something happened within first year that's not covered under warranty but with Samsung care plus?
Here is what gets frustrating, since I have Samsung care plus, samsung.com just send me to care plus site straight. No options to file any sort of claim. Whole thing just become a dead lock. To make things worse, tried to call in, the rep keep asking me to trouble shoot, plug in this and try that and wouldn't file a ticket, but the thing is I can't even power on the TV because it is tripping breaker left and right.
Finally found a rep that's helpful enough to understand the situation, agree to create a ticket on my behalf and with a texted link to fill out the time slot etc.... well the link in the text just the same service portal that takes me to care plus site straight.
I had a samsung fridge just get serviced a while back under warranty, no care plus, whole process took less than 5min to deal with and the technician done and gone in 20min. With this TV that suppose to have a premium insurance paid on top, I spent over 5hr already just spinning around in a circle between reps. Finally got the ticket setup via online chat which that stupid bot they just put in send me on a spin as well.
