LED and OLED TVsHi
I bought an mid-range, nothing fancy, plasma Samsung TV about 20 years ago that I can turn on and off the TV by timer unattended.
On my brand new Samsung 55" TV 4K LED Smart-TV, TU55CU6905K I noticed that there is no turn TV "ON" timer setting under the menu for time. Strangely there is one timer setting to turn "OFF"!
Seems that there is a logical requirement missing in the software, or bug, to only be able to timer "off" but no "on"? I guess if it was possible on a 20 year old Samsung TV, it should be possible on a new too?
How will the TV be able turn on unattended , if there are no schedule/timer setting for that functionallity?
I'm curious, why would you want a OFF setting but not an ON setting of anything, really? Its a bit like have a turn OFF setting on a car, but not have a setting which turns it ON?
The time is set to auto, and shows correct time.
It gets even more confusing looking at the swedish manual for TU55CU6905K where it says on page 155 that there is a turn on timer setting under the time menu.
Whereas in the English manual the OFF timer is found in page 85, but not the ON , so only the turn off timer?
The more i read these manuals, and compare the menus in the TV, the less I understand how to use the product.
I have now even updated to the latest firmware in the TV, and still the TV turn ON timer do not show, in the time menu.

Will there be any firmware bug fix released for this missing ON timer?
Thanks for any workaround or ideas,
Per

LED and OLED TVsSorry to say but I've never seen a tv with the ability to turn itself on. I've only seen the sleep timer and the auto off on TV's never a On option for this
