I bought a 2024 model open box 65 inch S95D tv online from Best Buy (QN65S95DAF) and it came with only the table stand and short one connect cable (BN-02946A). I talked to the Best Buy call center (possibly in Asia). All Best Buy calls are routed there. You can’t call any store - crazy. The call center looked at this open box listing and told me the only thing missing was the remote. I had to drive 200 miles to pick up the TV at the Best Buy store where it was available. I think there should have been a 2M cable, which is what I want (and is long enough) to set the box on a sofa table below where I plan to wall mount the tv. There seems to be no resource that identifies such a cable by either of the part number schemes used - the BN or VG prefix (nowhere have I been able to find a correlation of these two part number schemes). There seems to be a lot of 15M cables offered for sale which are identified as Samsung or Samsung compatible (questionable from the discussion forums in my opinion). If I had the part number for the 2M cable I could search for one and be confident that it would be the correct cable. By the way, Best Buy is of little help in solving this. Samsung seems to be of little help on this also. I have another Samsung tv and I love it. The company makes a great product but seems very dysfunctional in all other ways. Please help me!

I wasted more time chatting with a Best Buy Asian call center rep who told me I would have to return to the store where I bought the open box tv to ask if they had the 2 meter One Connect cable. They didn’t care that it was 200 miles away, nor could I even call the store to see if they had the cable before I made the drive. What a horrible business model they have. I will never buy anything at Best Buy again. Fortunately, I noticed some parts numbers on a label on the bag that the screws, assembly instructions, etc. were in. The second part number I googled (BN39-02947A) was a 2 meter One Connect cable for this exact television. One of the google results was an eBay listing for a new cable at $49, so I ordered it. I hope this helps someone who may encounter this issue.

I was able to locate a 5m cable which is sold out on Samsung.com but looks like Best Buy has it

In the specs it says this is the longer cable

Best Buy site also says “unavailable near you”. I suppose it could be ordered online from them, but I don’t think this is the longer cable (2M?) included with the tv. That is what I am trying to identify. I don’’t want a 16 foot cable. There are so many complaints that the longer cable provided isn’t long enough to set the box in a cabinet, that I would think that people would be selling the 2M cable left and right on ebay, for instance. If they have bought a 5M cable for $200, I would think they would sell the 2M cable.

It’s a 5m cable that Best Buy sells and they are no information of a 2m cable on Samsungs website to be purchase for that model all I can find is 5m or 15m

Maybe for 2024 they changed from the 2M length to the 5M length for the "long" cable because there were so many complaints about the 2M being too short for setting the one connect box in a side cabinet? I am still hoping that someone can answer my questions in my original post. For instance, what is with the two different part number schemes (BN and VG)?
