LED and OLED TVsI have a few years old Samsung QN65S90 and been using YouTube TV app for a year perfectly.
All of a sudden the app won't allow me to play any shows. It goes black.
I have called Samsung and YouTube TV support and still not working.
yes I have powered on and off. Deleted the app and reloaded. I have restored TV to factory Default and still not working. App working on my phone and Roku TV. Just this Samsung TV all of a sudden.
Pretty Frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. Rick

LED and OLED TVs@rspears This has been a known problem for a long time, and it's not going to be fixed.
We now use an Amazon Firestick plugged into an HDMI port on our TV, and use the Amazon Remote. All of our Amazon streaming apps (including Youtube TV) on the Firestick work flawlessly, and it includes live TV channels. We haven't used the Samsung remote or watched any Samsung Live TV channels in over 6 months. The Firestick just works without fail.

LED and OLED TVs- On your TV, go to Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now. If it says it is up to date, manually check for updates.
- Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube TV > Clear Cache/Data.
- Temporarily disconnect all HDMI devices and try the app with nothing else connected.
- Connect an Ethernet cable to the TV if possible to rule out any connection issues.
- Try testing other streaming apps on the TV itself such as Netflix or Hulu and see if they work.
If the issue persists after the above steps, you would need to contact Samsung Support with the steps you tried, the TV's firmware version, the YouTube TV app version, and that it is localized to just the YouTube TV app, and request an escalation.
Please let me know if you need assistance finding the firmware and app version. I hope this issue is resolved soon.

LED and OLED TVsBen. Sorry. I have replied a few times but not showing up here.
I have already tried all of these before except disconnecting my Sound Bar. Which I will try.
I know where the support/about is to find my TV details.
Samsung told me to try a few things, and suggested I call YouTube.
I have restored my TV to original factory reset and still not working.
the odd thing is this has been working fine for a year until I connected an external antenna to the tv. And never worked since. I disconnect the antenna before the 2nd factory reset which made me redownload the app and still the same.

LED and OLED TVsSame problem as Rick. With the ongoing Youtube-Disney spat, decided to connect my standby attic antenna so I could pick up local CFB broadcasts. Samsung 43" Qled smart tv seemed to behave well as I connected and scanned for OTA channels. However, soon discovered that although Youtube app still worked fine, the Youtube TV app was caput. Slow to load menus and clicking on a channel just gives you a dark screen with a swirly. Other two TVs are older and already use roku so will likely do the same for this one. None of the suggested cures had any effect other than waste my time. Surprised Samsung has been so cavalier about this problem but assume, to quote Heath L's Joker, "it's all part of the plan".

LED and OLED TVsSame boat: I factory reset last Friday to try and get my new remote to pair correctly, and now YouTube TV app won't load video. Based on other posts it's probably location related, but I'm not sure what needs to be fixed: I can navigate to my profile and click update current location, but it just spins on waiting for device

LED and OLED TVsSame here. We have less than one week old 2025 Oled tv. First couple of days nothing wrong with the YouTube but last two days YouTube app doesn't open. I'm able to watch YouTube from TV's own internet but not from the app. I'm not happy with this brand new Tv because main reason i use the tv for watch YouTube but I can't.
