I just purchased a S84F model TV and it does not detect the input from my PC. Unlike every TV I've ever interacted with, it seems I can't choose the input unless the TV decides there is something connected to it.
The PC is connected from an output on a graphics card, through HDMI, to the a HDMI input on the TV. In my experience the PC won't output video until it detects a display, but since I can't switch to the input, no display is detected so output begins.
