LED and OLED TVsOn Wednesday 10/23/2024 the wife and I were watching TV when the screen freaked out and sparks flew out of the bottom left side of the TV. Luckily the TV is wall mounted and the sparks extinguished before they hit the floor and ignited the carpet....There seems to be more than a few instances of the display "bursting with sparks" being detailed on the web. When will a recall of this model been initiated? Our home has older models of flat screens (vintage 2008 and 2010) and not once have they started a fire. The "fire starter/spark generator" TV is model number in question is: UN65NU8000FXZA...FYI, the model is 6 yrs old and surprisingly our Geek Squad warranty ran out at 5 years....and we are still waiting to here back from Samsung support (we call that Wednesday night) with a real resolution and solution to our spark generator TV.....anyway in the mean time I will watch my older TVs with fire extinguisher in hand.
