LED and OLED TVsI bought a DU8000 but I haven't set it up yet. During the setup, the TV will search for a router & ask for the wireless password, correct?
I want to get a Roku stick that plugs into 1 of the HDMI ports. If I plug the stick into #1, the stick will stick out & I won't be able to mount the TV on the wall. I may get a soundbar later, so I can't plug the stick into the ARC port, correct? That leaves the middle port. That will be the default port every time that I turn on the TV. I want to be able to access the menu & apps. So, do I need to choose either #1 or ARC in order to access the menu?
The DU8000 comes with apps preinstalled. The TV can download apps, correct?
If I choose a HDMI port that has nothing plugged into it, will there be snow or will I see the apps & be able to access the menu?

LED and OLED TVsWhen you turn on the TV, the antenna input will be selected by default and you can access settings and applications using the Home button on the remote control. You can navigate through the TV menu at any time. The TV allows you to install apps and watch streaming video.
You cannot select an HDMI port to which nothing is connected, the TV marks the port as inactive.

LED and OLED TVsThank you for responding.
Does the TV upscale 1080P to full screen or are there black bars surrounding the display?
The Roku will be the default display but I'll want to access the TV menu. The Roku remote will turn the TV on & off & adjust the volume.
So, I'll have 2 remotes next to me - the TV remote & the Roku remote.
I read online about the Samsung TV plus app. Something about adding Favorites requires the Samsung account. Or something like that.

LED and OLED TVsHello! Thank you for reaching out! The TV does not upscale on its own. As for the black bars, depending on the movie, this is standard if you mean the ones that appear in most movies. Yes if you want to favorite apps on the Samsung TV its self you will need to have a Samsung account. The Samsung account is free.

LED and OLED TVsPlease explain "The TV does not upscale on its own.". So, do I do something in the menu do get 1080P upscaled to 4K? I don't want to watch 1080P with black bars on a 4K TV. I feel like I wasted $400.

LED and OLED TVsI found this on a website:
4K UHD resolution of Samsung DU8000 is completed with 4K Upscaling that can deliver excellent picture clarity not only from original 4K content sources but also from non 4K contents that upscaled into near 4K picture quality.

LED and OLED TVsMaybe you haven't responded to my text because of the remark I made about wasting $400. I regret making that statement.
