My 70" Samsung TV has only 2 HDMI inputs and I wish to add a third device to the TV. I've tried to split the input on one of the inputs with a switch, but the OS only allows one input for each HDMI input.

I noticed that I am able to "Cast" my Windows Computer to the TV and that works well, so I thought that I might be able to find an HDMI out adapter that will wirelessly cast to the TV. For example ... I have a DVD/BluRay Player, but there is no way to attach it to the TV because a Cable Box and a Roku are attached to the two HDMI inputs. If I can get an HDMI out adapter, insert it into the DVD/BlyRay HDMI out slot and then "Cast" the output to the TV, I can use this to watch DVD or BluRay videos.

Can this be done, what device do I need, and where do I get it?

@coover Your best option is a hdmi splitter like I mentioned above all you have to do is plug your devices into it and select which device you wanna use.

In my experience, Wireless HDMI transmitters need a HDMI receiver from the same company, as the transmitter and receiver send and receive on the same frequency, a frequency that cannot be picked up by your phone. HDMI tramitter out is attached to your Blue-ray via a USB port and the HDMI receiver in is attached to your TV by a USB port as well. So, you're back to square one.

This technology was developed before streaming was popular. I mean like the 1980s and 90s. It was the only way to remove the need for running long cables to your TV(s) in other rooms back in the golden age of cable TV networks. They still make them though for those diehards with ancient TV sets.

You're able to transmit from your PC (or phone) to TV via your wireless network (wi-fi).

So, what you're asking to do isn't possible, unless you can figure out a way to connect your player to your Wi-Fi network.
