KitchenDear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this email to formally register a complaint regarding a Samsung refrigerator that I purchased, which is currently under the warranty period.
Within the warranty period itself, cracks started appearing automatically on the freezer door and inside the freezer compartment. Initially, it was a very small point, but over time the cracks gradually increased in size.
I registered a complaint with customer care, following which a service technician visited my home. After inspection, the technician recorded a video and informed me that this issue would not be covered under warranty and that it would be chargeable. As an alternative, I was advised to paste a sticker over the cracked area and continue using the refrigerator.
I am extremely disappointed with this response. Is it reasonable to expect a customer to use a refrigerator during the warranty period by simply pasting a sticker over a damaged freezer? This kind of solution is neither safe nor acceptable.
I have small children at home, and using a refrigerator with cracks in the freezer without proper protection is a serious safety concern. In case of any gas leakage, burning, or explosion, will Samsung take responsibility for the consequences?
I request Samsung to take this matter seriously and provide an immediate and proper resolution, either through repair or replacement under warranty, ensuring the safety of my family.
I expect a prompt response and a satisfactory solution at the earliest.
Thanking you.
Yours sincerely,
Saranya Sanoj
