Hello,

I'm having an issue with my Samsung RS277ACPN/XAA. The door alarm is constantly chiming, and the freezer (evaporator) fan is not coming on. I have already back probed the fan connector, replaced the fan, still no voltage to the connector. I have also replaced the main PCB, but it didn't make any difference. I then went to hunt the door switches themselves, I didn't think they were bad (particularly the freezer one giving me the "door open problem" and not sending voltage to the fan), because upon taping it closed the light goes off and stays off. I confirmed the switch works using an ohmmeter; closed loop = open door, open loop = closed door. I removed the switch and took a meter to the door switch connector, pins 3 + 4 as on the online manual, and got a 5 VDC reference with an open loop (closed door state, pins 1 + 2). I am supposed to be getting 0 VDC with an open switch loop, and that reference voltage is not changing, which I think is why the fridge is maybe recognizing that the fridge is stuck in an open door state. I am unsure how to fix this, help please!!!

You need to contact Samsung service.  If the unit is still under warranty, you may have voided it by attempting a self repair.  If the unit is out of warranty, there may be a service guide available for you to continue your DIY approach.  Your best bet, though, would like be to arrange a service appointment.  You can also do an internet search for videos on how to repair your issues.  Many videos abound for DIYers for Samsung appliances.
