I knew about the power switch but it did say that if you powered off it could cause corrupt the system . I decided to take a chance and power off , wait 2 minutes and reboot. It has completed the loading of the new software which mind you is not very good.
Desperate times ...desperate measures and all that. It's always been my policy that if something was taking too long, computerwise, is to pull the plug. Not once have I corrupted a system. It's just a warning telling you it's your fault if something goes wrong if you use it. It's there for a reason
