NZ30K7880U 30” Cooktop BT Pairing

Hello,

i have the NZ30K7880U 30” Induction cooktop. I have no problems getting it onto wifi into my Smart Things. 

i also have the 30” Rangehood, NK30N7000US, that has Bluetooth and Auto connectivity features.

I’m following the steps in my cooktop manual to enable Bluetooth Pairing by simultaneously pressing Smart Connect and Child Lock buttons, but it does nothing (eventually d0 appears simply because it always does if you hold a button down long enough). Meanwhile my hood is flashing its BT button looking to pair. 

Anyone have this issue with a cooktop?

Well I simply kept trying it over and over in 5s bouts of holding down both, and it finally worked and paired with the hood.
