Hello. This fridge is now displaying news articles. Your support here says we can go into "Security" and turn that off. Conveniently, "Security" is an option that is no longer there! On top of that, if you introduce some new feature like this, how about have an icon right there, so the first time you see it, you can decide to turn it off or not. Why make it so impossible to get rid of?
For now, we have just turned the internet off to our fridge.
You guys have some terrible ideas over there. How about, if we want news, we add it ourselves? The only way to get rid of this junk is to disable everything.
I don't really want to know how to fix YOUR issue here. I want an apology and have this junk removed in an update from your end.

Kitchen and Family HubHi there! This sounds like something our Smart Things department would be able to assist with. You can reach out to them directly via the following link: https://community.smartthings.com/

Kitchen and Family HubThere is nothing to be found on here to help disable the news articles that are displaying. There needs to be a way to disable them.

Kitchen and Family HubI did a chat with the rep today and it turns out you can disable the news— you need to go to the apps area and click on settings and then choose advertisements and turn off the cover screen ads which is what the rotating weather news, etc. is.

No it doesn't. You need to take the advice of your consumers and allow us to have the experience WE want. I don't need my children reading things like they've read on my fridge while getting some milk. This is atrocious and will be the last Samsung appliance I buy if it's not corrected immediately

Kitchen and Family Hub- We dont need to waste our time talking to a tech for a problem you created.
- lease fix the issue. Give people option to get the news if they want. Do not force it.

Kitchen and Family HubI paid $3000 for a smart fridge and now I've got popups on my beautiful home screen that used to just show the weather. This turned an expensive appliance into a trashy item. I can't disable them, my wife accepted the terms without reading the fine print (I'm sure she's not alone). This is extremely frustrating, please update this so it is able to be disabled ASAP.
Thank you,

Kitchen and Family HubI did not consent to advertising on my Family Hub fridge. The update was accepted without full understanding, and now my home appliance is showing unwanted ads. This degrades the user experience and violates expectations for a premium product
