Home TheaterSince the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.
Seems like quite a few people with the issue

Home TheaterGot on the phone after three days of not hearing back. Tech said to wait another two days, they are trying to fix it. I said, how? Nothing is operational, how will me waiting two days allow to fix something they can't fix in over 10 days? Anyway, he the did get me free packaging and shipping to the NJ repair center. That took a bit also because they send a UPS shipping label AND another email with a QR code that you need for UPS to scan do the packaging for free. Well that one ended up in junk mail, so I did not know about it. so, after a 20 conversation on the phone with them while in the UPS lobby finally fixed that. At least they did pay for the packing and shipping. Of course mine was still under warrantee. I'm sure it is more hassle if it is not. I would say to argue for it though. They should pick up the tab for this as they caused it. When it comes back, auto-update will be OFF! I see no need to ever update a sound bar really.

Home TheaterSame problem. Took the soundbar to a repair shop. They advised me that the required part is on back order.

Home TheaterHere in the UK my PCB which needs replacing, I have been told by Samsung Authorised Repairing Company is unavailable as there is no stock left. They have put in for more stock, but from what was said to me I am not holding my breath. My deadline is next Wednesday, if they cannot source one, my ticket is changed to unable to carry out a repair status and Samsung are notified.

Home TheaterI'm having the same issue with my q990c. I called Samsung and they said they haven't had any other reports of this problem. It looks like he was wrong. Samsung did something that broke our sound bars. It can't be a coincidence that so many are having the same problem at the same time

Home TheaterMany people had multiple devices broken on the same day and reports have been from all over world... If I had my both 2024 devices broken, I'd guess most of the 2024 Samsung soundbars have been broken. From older gen devices there has been very many reports, but most of the internet is talking 2024 devices. So I can't really guess what percentage of older devices has been broken, but it could be tens of percentages.

Home TheaterA quick update, the service receipt from the NJ repair center states:
āRepair Result: Techeim found Stuck on "TV-eARC" mode & a damaged top-cover. Quality test passed after Defective part(main-pcb, top-cover) replacement.ā
Iām wondering if a portion of the soundbar was damaged in transit or if that piece had to be replaced? Either way, hoping it makes it back to me in one piece
