Home TheaterSince the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.

Home TheaterLooks like US page now shows 1016, so they at least are silently confirming 1020.7 broke things. Now they need to figure out the plan. We can't continuely have some agents suggest sending it in, others get tech home calls, and others say to wait for an update.
Although in one of the txt files, it is being labeled as 1017, and the other 1016.

Home TheaterSame here in Brazil, bricked soundbar with the same issues. Will be very bad if need send it to a technician, this things aren't made to be opened to maintenance. Sometimes in process, little plastics are broken, screws get lost, little cables would be broken and the probability of it get scrached is very high. So expensive equipament and it hasn't one month in my house, to take a risk of get it back deformed after repair.

Home Theatersame here in Argentina, or they will keep it 10 months waiting for spare parts that never arrive then they tell you it's out of warranty and that they cannot repair it even if you pay for it, because they don't have such parts, it's a mess.

Home TheaterI'm waiting to see if they release a new firmware and try update via USB, if is not possible, probably mainboard would need be changed by a technician or put it on some special equipament to force update. Well, I think we have rights of refund here in Brazil, but only if they can't fix it in 30 days, I think is the only option that we have for my knowledge. If you have some idea or news, just repost, I'll read. Thanks.

@Gabriel3 , I completely agree with you brother. I was asking the very specific questions to one of their agents in how brand new items that suddenly need repairing are going to be handled and the high potential risk of aesthetics damage. The response Iโd received was somewhat shocking.
itโs as if whatever happens, weโll investigate to find out why and how. Rather then giving a reassuring confidence in looking the customerโs goods. Then this was even more disturbing to hear. If a repair is carried out and you were to still experience any other issues. Guess what?! โฆyouโll need to send it back in for repair. Absolutely fking ridiculous I tell you.
Also, in the U.K., youโre the Consumer Rights Act 2015, because your right to reject a โrepairโ apparently is not applicable and have to get a repair done. Also if youโd used a Credit Card for more protection. You only have up to 120 days to file a chargeback. After that, youโre needing to go down the route of โSection 75โ. Which is something you canโt do with a debit card.
Iโll just say hold on tight and see what announcements are going to be finally made on this debacle.

Home TheaterSame issue with my 990D here. After chatting with tech support, I had to ship the bar to a service center. Samsung covered the shipping, but not the packaging. This whole experience has been disappointing. I thought by sticking with a well known established company when purchasing my TV and sound bar I could avoid this type of poor service. It is going to be hard for Samsung to win back any kind of trust from me after this.
