I think this would work well with hearing impaired, or someone needing to speak with a chara-chorder. I haven't used it myself but glad to have it available. Thanks!
Yeah but see it also translate Emoji talk and that's a whole new language you can translate with the Emoji world and I think that's fantastic I think it's so interesting I don't know a lot about it but I do want to try to figure it out
📱 How to Use and Set Up Call Translation on the Galaxy A13 5G (SM-A136U)
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A13 5G (SM-A136U), and this model doesn’t include the new Galaxy AI Live Translate feature that comes on newer Samsung devices. However, you can still use call translation by using external apps. What I do is install a translation app with real-time interpreter mode (like Google Translate), then turn on the “Interpreter” feature. I allow microphone access, choose the languages, and put the call on speaker. The app listens to the conversation and translates everything in voice or text. It’s an easy way to get live translation even though the A13 doesn’t support Galaxy AI.
I don't really understand some of the comments here. Like if you're "not going to use it because you know a lot of people that know english"? Then this feature isn't for you. Or the comment that says "I really don't like it and don't use it I like to hear what anyone has to say to me". I mean yeah but all of that is out of the window if you don't understand the language 🤷🏻
I haven't had a great opportunity to test it but it does what it says it will do. I spoke with an individual who knows Chinese and English. I definitely don't recommend having your voice and the translation both be audible during the conversation
It doesn't work well at all it's a hit amiss with words, it ealither doesn't show it or it writes something completely different. I'm older and sometimes it's hard to understand what someone is saying thought this would help but it's a No from me😞
This messed up my WhatsApp chats. Now it automatically translates everything into English, any YouTube video gets automatically played in English, my mother language is Spanish i don't need to translate anything. Really annoying the way now Samsung, like Apple, imposes their way on customers, without any option to change this feature. I already spent hours with tech support, trying to figure out the issue with no resolution. Sad.
As far as I remember, this feature has been for years. It's very useful to talk with someone with language barrier. It is different from the transcribe feature that you do not hear them but talk with text. I use transcription for unknown callers, so they do not record my voice. Why do we need to download language packs? If it included all language packs, people would complain that unused feature is taking up their phone space. If you want all languages, just download all of them, or select some languages you want.
I don't have this feature. Most callers I speak to speak English. I wish automatic call screening worked more efficiently. I can easily see and ignore numbers marked Potential Spam, but too many still get through.
This is going to work great whenever I call for technical support. "No it's okay, just go ahead and speak Hindi, cuz I can't understand what the **bleep** you say otherwise"
