I ordered an SSD on black Friday.... it got lost in the mail.... now Samsung doesn't want to refund me or send out a new one.... it's 23 days later.... I should have just bought the off the shelf WD.... using the military rewards and the black Friday deals trying to save a couple of bucks was definitely not the move.... I'm putting Samsung on the back burner for awhile.... I've been on iPhone strike since the 6s.... that's how long I hold grudges.... I'm switching to Google now....

They have to wait for UPS to complete its investigation and they have to send the documentation that UPS requires.  They are likely insured the package for it's retail value and would like to recoup that prior to refunding you - not your problem, theirs.  However, do realize that BF shopping and shipping is hectic along with the normal holiday packages being shipped, so things are bound to be delayed and misdirected.  With modern shipment tracking methods, packages rarely are truly lost, just sometimes misplaced in the transfer facility.  Of course, that does not preclude some grabby employee deciding that they are going to abscond with some packages.  So, if you don't want to wait any longer, put in your dispute with your credit card company.  Otherwise wait until UPS tries to locate the package, which they will attempt to do as soon as Samsung sends whatever documentation they need.

Create a dispute woth your credit card company. Outline rhat it was list in transit and you tried to resolve it with Samsung with no replacement or refund. Your cc company works for you.

I don't dispute charges often, but if I do, I only make one attempt to resolve with the vendor. If I get no satisfaction, I don't waste any more time with them, I put in a cc dispute.

Nowhere does the poster mentioned the shipping company, and if they were contacted!

They also don't seem to realize that a) it likely wasn't shipped til a few days after BF and b) it's a busy shipping season and deliveries may be delayed.

It's easy to look up your tracking number, the first thing I would do.

Yes, inot only is it easy, if they had the shipping company's apps, they would get notifications of the impending shipment and status updates. It's likely sitting in a transfer facility.

Have you contacted the shipping company at all?

The shipping companies usually prefer to deal with the shipper. They are very uncooperative with the recipient.
