My name is William Zabriskie, and I wanted to share an incredible testament to the durability and reliability of your Samsung Galaxy Watch.
I purchased my original Galaxy Watch about six years ago. I am a career firefighter, and during those six years this watch has been with me through countless fires and emergency incidents. On January 2nd, 2026, my crew and I responded to a structure fire with reports of a trapped resident inside. Despite extreme conditions, we were able to rescue the individual, who is now making a full recovery.
After the fire, while I was showering back at the station, I realized the watch that had been with me through so many calls was no longer on my wrist. I was heartbroken. On January 7th, 5 days after the fire, I returned to the scene with my crew. We joked about trying to find it, and someone suggested checking my phone to see if it would still connect.
To my surprise, it did, showing 34% battery life. I used the “Find My Watch” feature to make it beep, and we heard a faint sound. Following it, we found the watch outside in the area where we had moved the patient to the cot. It had been buried in the mud for five days, stepped on, soaked, and exposed to the elements, yet it was still functioning.
