My galaxy watch 8 classic shows "You were added" repeatedly on any whatsapp group notifications. Tried reinstalling but the issue persists. I believe whenever any group member reacts to a message or votes in a poll on WhatsApp, its the default notification that shows up. It is really annoying and many members in r/GalaxyWatch are facing the same issue across multiple watch models. Please fix this asap.

The watch logs are embedded in the phone logs, so go ahead and send your logs with your error report, although, as was said before this is most likely more of a Meta issue than a Samsung issue since those notifications come from within the app,  but have at it.

Once again, you literally have nothing to contribute to this conversation. Please refrain from pushing your agenda of blaming Meta and not Samsung. The problem is still not solved so it can go both way. I don't want your comment on every new comment that tries to communicate on this post. First you were not ready to accept that its happening across multiple models. Now you're still adamant on it being a Meta issue. It really seems that you want to climb up the ladder on this app so kindly do it on other posts.

I have reported it to the devs. So far I found out that if your WhatsApp account has a companion device then this issue happens. When I removed my companion device, the issue went away somehow. My guess is that the issue is coming from same notification being pushed to multiple devices along with the watch. Though it might be a one off case. Do you use a companion device?

Yes, and I get no such messages. You know there's malware going around that affects the group messaging. Perhaps that's what's going on here. https://www.malwarebytes.com/blog/news/2026/01/a-whatsapp-bug-lets-malicious-media-files-spread-thro...
