Whatsapp "You were added" notification

My galaxy watch 8 classic shows "You were added" repeatedly on any whatsapp group notifications. Tried reinstalling but the issue persists. I believe whenever any group member reacts to a message or votes in a poll on WhatsApp, its the default notification that shows up. It is really annoying and many members in r/GalaxyWatch are facing the same issue across multiple watch models. Please fix this asap.

Just go to the app settings on the phone and turn off those types of notifications. The notifications you get from WhatsApp is a feature of the app. You should make this complaint to Meta, who is the app developer.

I don't want to turn off these notifications. If these notifications are delivered properly to my device but not the watch then its clearly a watch issue.

Once again, the notifications that get sent are programmed by the app developers.  The app developer for WhatsApp is Meta.  This has nothing to do with Samsung.

Once again, if the notifications are coming in properly on my device but not on my watch, couldn't that be a rendering issue in WearOS, if it happened with one device it might be an issue for Meta. But if its happening to galaxy watches series 8,7,6, it definitely has something to do with wearOS notifications.

Then it's specific to your setup.  I get no such notifications from groups and I have all notifications on; on both my watch and phone.  I only get responses to group chats.  The only time I get a "you were added" is if I was actually added to a group.  And, I have a Watch 7. In any case, if you want to put in a proper error report, go here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692  This is only a peer-to-peer user forum and only  the developers will neither see not react to your complaint/request.

fyi it wasn't an issue before the recent software update to the watch. don't assume that wearOS is perfect, it never was.

How can you blame Samsung for a Meta issue.  It may not have happened before the update, but that's because Meta did not update the watch app properly to be compatible.

FYI  Nobody ever said WearOS was perfect.  Nothing is.  However, WearOS is a Google system, not a Samsung one, so you are still blaming the wrong entity.  OneUI is a Samsung app.  At least make sure to blame the right entity.

Personally, since you seem to be the only one having this issue, I'd say it's something in your setup - like maybe you didn't clear the cache after your update.  Nothing either uninstalling or reinstalling WhatsApp shouldn't cure or, failing that, factory resetting your watch.

Lol bro I've moved on from this issue. You obsessed fr.
I'm clear when I say I'm not the only one facing this issue. Just a simple google search on this issue would bring you the reddit chain where other users are facing the same issue.
You just want me to agree on 'your' fact that its a Meta issue and not a galaxy watch issue.
Notifications might be developed by Meta but if they're not displaying properly then Samsung IS REQUIRED to intervene and fix it.

In case you have not noticed, this is not reddit.  If people are complaining about this issue on reddit, it's not reaching any eyes that would help the issue.  The proper outlet for getting things done would be contacting Meta or Google, or even Samsung if they think Samsung is to blame, but not a user forum which is what this forum is and also what reddit is.  reddit is just a whine bar.
