Watch 7 txt message not showing detail automatically after notification

My watch 7 has stop showing details after notification. I have reset my watch and I have selected the options to do so and it's still not showing details on a text after notification. I noticed the change.

After it updated to UI 8. Is this happening to anybody else? And if so, how can I fix it?It is very frustrating. Please help.

Are you sure Ur watch 7 has UI 8? When did u get that cause mine is saying UI 6.0 system 14.

Hi Rindy, im experiencing the same issue on my galaxy 7 watch after getting the UI 8 update. Curious if you figured out a fix for the issue?

Hi Hunnidew,
I had to call samsung and they was able to come up with a solution. I wasn't a fan at first because I never had it set up like that before and it was working fine, but that was the only solution. Go to Messages settings then notification type and make sure those on the bottoms are on. I also have it set up as they don't show when the screen is locked. I hope that helps you

Does it show the details when you tap the notification, or is it not showing details at all?

It shows as "new message" but no details at all until I open the txt . I have turn on and off everything is needed in order to work. But it's not working. It is so frustrating.

Maybe that's the way it's configured in OneUI8.  I haven't gotten it yet, so I cannot verify.  I do know, in most cases, even though my watch currently shows part of the content of a text, I still have to tap it to read the whole thing and/or reply, so I don't think it would be that big a deal for me if it changed.

I know you said you had all options on to show details, but did you check this one?  Wear app/watch settings/notifications/advanced settings/show details automatically when checking notifications after an alert?
