Galaxy Watch
So I had Apple watches before I made the switch to Samsung and Android and my Apple watch that was the first generation that had cellular worked amazing and the notifications popped like normal and the battery life lasted multiple days at first and kind of you know diminished over time which was years that I had it. So I've had the Samsung phone and finally decided after a year of having one to spring for the watch. I picked up the watch 7 and not realizing that there were new devices coming out soon made the purchase and was excited about it!
So I got the watch home set it up added my apps got everything set went through each setting menu and adjusted how I wanted it also adjusted on the app through the phone. So far everything great. So I continue to use the watch and I begin you know a month down the line noticing that I'm not really using it like I used to use my other watch and I start to wonder why. I then realize my notifications aren't popping like they were supposed to because my watch is dead. Turns out my watch has been dying in like 2 hours tops. I'm like what is going on so I ask my buddy who has the ultra watch and he tells me with normal usage and he claims to use it quite a bit and he gets two days out of his charge. Two days versus 2 hours is a big difference. I've reached out to Samsung and all they can do for me is take it in for repair but at this point I want the Ultra with real battery life. Or the eight that just came out that probably has killer battery life as well. Or the eight classic that just came out all of which probably have better battery life than 2 hours. I know it's probably a malfunctioning battery but I would guess the life of the battery of the seven isn't very good compared to any of those other watches and at this point I have no faith in the sevens capabilities or battery life. If it works great at first I guarantee the battery probably will be dying in the 6 months down the line. So now I'm stuck on trying to figure out what to do with this Samsung 7 watch that I don't really want anymore because it doesn't work, I can send in for warranty because it's only been owned for a few months and get the battery fixed or replaced, but I don't have faith in the battery life getting much better with a new battery. I'm not sure what the battery life posted for the Samsung 7 watch is. But I bet it's not what it says it is. So yeah now I'm stuck with a watch that doesn't work and a great Samsung Ultra phone which I still love. Samsung please come up with a program for upgrades when you come out with new products. This whole buyer product release a new one in a year and not offer a quick upgrade option for inexpensive would be foolish. I should go be able to start a new contract and just swap out the watch for the price payment difference. But instead I have to pay the whole watch off own it and then get a new one and add a new monthly payment to my account after paying the money to pay the watch off. They should definitely upgrade you if you want to switch and upgrade to a new watch just add the extra months on and start from the beginning even if you're still paying on a watch they should take it in and let you pay minimally for an upgrade. So I'll stop rambling about my situation and how annoyed I am. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford to buy a new watch straight up. Maybe I'll go for one that's unbranded and works with both operating systems like a Sunto..... You got to make your customers happy and all I needed was a easier way to get out of this watch that I don't trust because it broke right away and into the watch that I actually want. I'm basically asking you to spend more money with you and you're saying no I don't want you to spend it that way. Oh well

There is something wrong with either your watch or your battery. Check your battery usage statistics in the wear app/watch settings/battery and see what's eating the battery. If nothing stands out, run a diagnostic. Diagnostics can be found in device care settings or the support tab of the members app. If you just got the watch and it's still under warranty, it should be repaired as a warranty item. I have a watch 7, previously had a watch 4 - both LTE versions. On both watches, my battery life has been an average of 32 -38 hours uptime with normal usage - including getting notifications, being separated from my phone with remote access on, exercising. On the watch 4, when the battery started weakening, I was only getting about 12 hours out of it. If you are only getting 2 hours, something is definitely wrong with it. It's not anyone's fault but your own that you purchased a watch on the cusp of a new one being introduced, but that's not the reason your battery is failing. There were plenty of articles and advertisements about it.
Of course the Ultra has a longer battery life, it's 590 mAH, as opposed to 425 mAH for the Watch 7. The watch 8 has a capacity of 435 mAH, so neither of them will have the uptime that the Ultra has, but a properly functioning battery will last you an entire day +.

I just bought an 8. Set it up yesterday. It has a VERY SHORT battery life. I have had to charge it twice in the 30 hours I've owned it. I have deleted apps, have everything turned off and I dont even have notifications turned on for phone or text. Display is tap to turn on and only about 20% brightness for the screen. I AM **bleep** . I was on text with tech support and theu are suppose to send me a shipping lable to have the battery life figured out. The first thech guy says turn off all your health stuff until you gonto bed. It sucks your battery! Isn't that why you pay for a watch like this? Like I said I am WAY beyond **bleep** at this and wish I wouldn't have spent all that money on it to not hold a charge for even 24 hours! Don't buy the 8. And read the forums on anyone you decide to get. I wish I would have.
