Watch 5 Do Not Disturb won't stay on

My wife's Watch 5 updated to One UI 8, and now Do Not Disturb turns OFF within seconds of you use the Quick Panel. It works fine if you go into the normal Settings. And it syncs with the phone either way. Of course, when the Watch turns it back off after a few seconds, so does the phone. I've tried wiping the cache partition on both her Watch and her phone. And, obviously, Sync is properly set on the phone.

This is apparently a known issue right now.  I don't know how hard they are working on a fix, but it will not hurt to add your voice to an error report so the developers can continue to see how widespread of a problem it is. 

Send the error report from her phone, as the watch log is embedded in the phone log.  Send the report within 15 minutes of the condition occurring.

It does not affect every watch.  I have a watch 7 and do not disturb is part of my sleep mode and my theater mode, and the only time I ever use do not disturb is when one of those modes is on.  I turn the modes on from my watch, and dnd stays on for as long as the mode is active.  Maybe try creating a new do not disturb mode, and then turn that mode on from the watch and see if that helps.  You can also continue to turn on DND from the phone.
