I Purchased this watch from T-Mobile in May. An update in December made the find my device app unusable. After hours and days on the phone with Samsung representatives I was finally told to get on this Samsung community and post my problems. Supposedly a Samsung representative is supposed to help me. I misplaced my phone throughout the day and use my watch to find it. I just want that feature to work again.

I have a 24 Ultra and watch 8. I haven't had any trouble. I used it this morning actually.

As I stated in my previous comment, if you just want to hear the sound to locate your phone because you cannot remember where you put it down (meaning it's not actually lost or left behind somewhere), you can just pull down the watch's quick panel and tap the find my phone option.  It works, even though the actual find app does not.  If you actually lost your phone and want to see where it is, you will have to use Google Find Hub until Samsung decides this problem is important enough to fix.  The easiest thing to do, of course, is to keep your phone with you so that you don't have to look for it.

Same here dude! It's the worst update I have ever seen to any piece of technology. They took a great, useful feature and made it useless.

Yes I've hated it since they did the update also. Used to I can one or maybe two clicks and could find my phone. Now it's like five clicks and an extra 30 seconds

Have you tried going to the website and un link and re link your devices?
Can you uninstall the app on your watch, or have you tried deleting the apps cache and starting fresh, possibly? Shots in the dark, but shots none the less.

All of those have been suggested by the Samsung development team.  They don't work and there is no reason anyone should have to go through that for something they developers broke and is not going to work anyway.  If that was the fix, then it would be acceptable.  They are well aware of the issue, and they *claim* to be working on it, but it's been a long while, so I don't think they really are.

SOLUTION: Found this on reddit.

The function is still available on the watch, although not through the app as it was before, now you have to go into the quick menu (the one that slides from the top of the watch screen) and search for an icon that has a loupe (magnifying glass) over a rectangle (which would be the phone). Just click that one.

This was already mentioned - and illustrated - above.  Did you even read the comments? BTW, that feature was *always* there, since the development of the watches.
