I'd like to use my Samsung Galaxy SM-R800 smartwatch in order to "tap to pay". However the 2 cards I want to use give me an unknown error when I enter the card details. All my other cards are able to be imported. The 2 specific cards are I only want to use the watch's Tap to Pay feature are Door Dash related cards. 1 is the expense card constantly used for paying for each transaction. The other is my personal earnings card for my own personal expenses. Neither of which can be added to samsung pay. They work on Google Wallets/Pay just fine. But when I'm working as a door Dasher, my hands are always full with bags, food, drink(s)/drink carriers, multipe grocery bags, a flashlight at night, and a phone to navigate the doordashing processes. A significant amount of samsung smartwatch users would love to be able to use their watch for these constant transactions when our hands are already full. One less thing to free up our hands speeds up the process and doesn't make us an easy target with hands full of items if someone wanted to cause us harm. Particularly at night and in areas we aren't always safe in but don't know until we've arrived at each destination. Who can I share this with or escalate to resolve/fix this issue?

@DJMorando That watch was introduced in 2018. Support for watches using the Tizen OS, like that watch, has ended. The Galaxy Watch 4 and later use Wear OS. To get the functionality you are asking for you would need to get a newer watch.

If you upgraded your watch to one of the currently supported models, you would be able to use Google Wallet as well on the watch.  You can choose between using Samsung Wallet or Google Wallet as your default.  You would be able to program the power/home button or add a watch face complication to open Google Wallet.

Since Tizen support has ended, more and more features of your current watch will just stop working, and if you have to reset your watch or phone for any reason, you will not be able to reconnect it.

Thanks for the prompt advice! A newer model watch would likely solve my issue via Google Wallet. However, I'm not yet ready to upgrade as my watch is working just fine for what I need it for in the mean time (minus this current issue I brought up). I don't believe this to be only or specifically an OS/obsolete watch issue. I've hard reset my watch in the last month just and re-paired it back to my Galaxy S22 Ultra with no problems. As much as I'd enjoy the newest and greatest version out right now, it's a want of mine, not a necessity. Thanks again for everyone that replied promptly with helpful advice! I appreciate you! Stay classy & Happy New Years!

You may have been able to reset earlier this month, but in January 2026, ALL support for Tizen will cease.  Things will stop working.  The Samsung wallet issue is absolutely an issue with Tizen being obsolete.  The app is no longer fully compatible with Tizen.  It's not going to be fixed either.  Sooner, rather than later, the other cards will likely stop working as well.

At this point if you want either wallet to work on your watch and you need it for work, it is *absolutely* a necessity that you update.  You don't need the latest and greatest, just one that is still being supported. But, if you don't want to update, that's your choice.  Just don't expect support when things stop working because it's not going to be forthcoming.

Thank you all for clarifying and confirming my days are numbered! I wasted hours this morning via email and chat being transferred to several different departments and being told "thats not my job, you should talk to this deoartment". Thanks again & Happy New Year!

That's not even right, you should  have been told immediately that Tizen support is ending as of December 31.  All customer service reps should have this information.  You should not have had to waste hours of your time.  Just a little tip though, get in the habit of periodically checking the announcements section of the Members app (the megaphone icon on the discover page).  Those types of notifications are usually buried there, although the community manager is getting better at putting some of the more important announcements up front in a post.
