I have a smart watch with a bezel and I can't tap keys closet to the raised edge. Flattening that edge would be better.
Having a watch face that is perpendicular to my arm is very cumbersome to touch the face. It would be beneficial to twist the watch face or adjust with a button then rotate the face to a more comfortable position.
The microphone on text message is so small, and other action buttons are located in spaces I can't tap.
How do you think they are going to be able to flatten the bevel on a watch already on the market and two iterations behind the current watch - don't expect any improvement in that area.
What do you mean by a "watch face perpendicular to your arm"? The watch faces are watch faces just like every watch ever manufactured - analog or digital. It lies on your wrist in a manner that raising your wrist orients the watch to the correct line of sight.
Of course the microphone is small - the watch face is small.
In the end, it was your choice to purchase a watch with a physical bezel. I am surprised you did not visit a physical store to try it out first.
