Steps count doubled

Recently my steps counts seems higher than normal. Like really abnormal lol.

I think I pin pointed the issue if I'm wearing my Watch Ultra and have my S24u in my pocket the steps is combining both the watch and phone so my steps are doubled. Before the steps used to sync together. If I wear the watch or have just the phone on me, the step count is nornal.

I've updated something in the Samsung updated amd think it may be related to it. Anyone else notice the same issue?

It sounds like the issue you're experiencing could be related to Samsung's step tracking sync after the recent update. When you have both the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the S24 Ultra on you, the step counts may be combining, leading to an inflated total.

This could have been caused by a change in how Samsung Health tracks and syncs data between devices after the update. Normally, Samsung Health should merge data from multiple sources, but it seems like the devices are now being treated as separate, leading to duplicate steps.

Hereā€™s what you could try to resolve the issue:

1. Check Sync Settings: Go into the Samsung Health app and check the sync settings. Ensure that both the phone and the watch are properly linked, and that steps from both devices are being aggregated rather than counted separately.

2. Clear App Cache: Try clearing the cache for the Samsung Health app to reset any syncing errors.

3. Unlink and Relink Devices: Unlink your watch from the Health app and then relink it. This might help with proper syncing.

4. Check for Additional Updates: Since you mentioned an update, it's possible there is another update or patch that may resolve the syncing issue. Keep an eye on future updates from Samsung.

If the issue persists, contacting Samsung support might help, as they may be aware of this syncing issue post-update and could provide a more specific fix.
