I have a 2025 Galaxy S25 ultra paired with a 2025 watch ultra. Sleep tracking is broken. It doesn't track sleep correctly. Big chunks of missing time, or recording only one hour of sleep. Anyone else have issues with sleep tracking?

Did you set it up as a new device or restore from an older model Galaxy Watch? For some reasonurilizing the backup of an older device causes issues, I had a similar issue both with sleep tracking and also the Samsung pay functionality dropping cards within an hour or so if setting up.

Did a factory reset of the watch and set up as a totally new device and the problems went away.

I set the phone up as a new device not from a back up. I even reset my phone as a new device. No luck

Are you wearing the band snug? If losse, contact with sensor isn't good. Also make sure Samsung health is synced with watch and updated on both devices.

Have you tried clearing cache partition for watch? Or factory reset?

All the time, or just occasionally?  I get that sometimes  - last night, for instance. I woke up at 2:15 for some reason, went to get some water and went back to bed.  This type of nighttime activity usually shows as a block of orange (for restlessness), but last night it was just a giant gap from 2 a.m to 3 a.m. in the sleep tracking.  This happens sometimes when I do something other than just get water, like when I reach into the medicine cabinet for a "get back to sleep" pill.  If I don't fall right back to sleep, it measures as a period of wakefulness or a gap in sleep continuity.  If it's happening all the time, though,  it can mean you are not sleeping as well as you think you are, or the watch is not measuring accurately.  It could be an issue with the sensor, or the watch not being snug enough (or too snug).  Next time you wake up and see a gap, put in an error report as soon as you wake up so the information will still be contained in the log.  The watch log is embedded in the phone log, and will get collected and uploaded automatically. You can also attach screen shots for clarity. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692

Almost all the time, always gaps where it's just a blank. I'll reset everything again to factory and setup as a new device.
