Galaxy WatchSo I tried the Running Coach today on my Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Though the test seemed to work, the audio guidance was not understandable at all 🤔
It was some bad translations to Swedish mixed with English into it.
Very badly done.
I would prefer English all through, but can't find a setting for it in Health. Any ideas? 😊

Galaxy WatchYay! That did it!
Changing to Google text to speech engine on the watch did the trick!
No more gibberish and clearly understandable 🙌

Galaxy WatchIf the language of your phone is set to English, there should be no other language being utilized unless you downloaded a language pack and switched to that language. Try clearing the cache of the health app and the cache partition on your watch. Is your watch language set to English?

Galaxy WatchThanks for replying.
My language on both phone and watch is Swedish. This was no issue up until using running coach after upgrade to OneUI 8 on watch.
The thing is it mixes Swedish words/numbers with English and makes everything gibberish in the audio readouts.
I will try a cache wipe.
It's no good solution to set phone/watch to English. The solution could be to set only Health to English or even better that Samsung fixed this 😊
Anyone else with similar experience of the voice readouts? That's with other language on watch...

Galaxy WatchThe nature of the phone (and watch) is that the language is set for the entire device, not individual apps. You might try going into (on the phone) settings/accessibility/text-to-speech and then set your preferred language, and see if that helps. I don't know if it will, but I do know that when the voice guidance was speaking too fast, I went into that setting and slowed it down, so it may also affect the language. Out of curiosity, is your phone's or watch's region set to U.S.?

Galaxy WatchGreat suggestion. I'll play around with those.
No, region is set to sweden.
I noticed that there is a possibility to change from Samsung to Google engine instead, will try that...

Galaxy Watch. The background is a dull green?? I just want normal colors. I am not very good with technology anyway.

Galaxy WatchI tried clearing the cache for the app as well as Wear OS. Didn't help on today's run, keeps half translating and mispronouncing words and numbers.
However, I just now found a setting on the watch under settings/general for text to speech 😊
When Samsung talk back engine is selected, there is no setting for Swedish. However when changing it to the Google engine instead, there is. Maybe this is the culprit and solution 🤔
Will try it on my next run, maybe tomorrow 👍
