I have a Watch8 and Ultra (2024) and when I turn off sleep mode, the "raise to wake" function is turned off. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a known issue?

This has worked so far. Rather than setting up a routine, I prefer to turn modes on and off. To create an "Awake" mode, open the Modes and Routines app. Go to "modes". You'll see several default modes: sleep, theater, driving, etc. Tap "Add Mode". Give it a name (ie, "Awake") and choose an icon. In "other actions", choose "Raise wrist to wake" and set it to "On". (You can add other things if you want. )

To make it easy to toggle between modes, I added 2x1 widgets to my home screens to turn these modes on and off. I put the Sleep mode widget next to the Wake mode widget.

This is important: instead of turning off Sleep mode, just turn on Wake mode.

What's interesting is after I turn on Wake mode, then if I turn OFF wake mode, the "Raise wrist to wake" setting will remain ON! So, this setting will obviously remain on whatever the most recently used mode was set to.

Seeing the same Raise Wrist to Wake issue! As @prunk said, you can easily setup a Routine every morning to force it back on.

Under Then, tap + Add actionGalaxy WatchRaise wrist to wake. Set to On.
