Music doesn't pause for mile announcement during exercise

Here is the background:

- I am running with my Galaxy Watch Ultra using Samsung Health
- I am listening to a podcast on Spotify
- Watch Ultra software version: L705USQU1AYCD

Previously, when I would reach a kilometer mark, the podcast would pause and I would hear the voice from Samsung Health telling me about my stats for the last kilometer. For a while now, unsure if it was after an update, the music no longer pauses and the Health voice just plays on top of the podcast making it very difficult to hear.

Is this a known bug or user error? Any settings I should be checking?

It's happening for me as well. Shokz bone conducting, Bose ultra open earbuds, and Apple airpods all have the same issues.

You have One UI7 as well?. I do not have it yet, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say it an issue with the phone. I am still on OneUI6.1, but I have the lastest health app update, and my music pauses. I'm going to have to go for a walk, just to make sure, though. If I all of a sudden don't get the music pause, I'm going to specifically say it's a glitch in the health app update.

I don't normally take my phone with me on my walks. Maybe I will have to try it both ways.

I'm going to attempt a walk today after breakfast.  First with my watch only with my buds connected to the watch, as usual.  Then with the phone, with my headphones connected to the phone.

Ok.  So, I took two half mile walks this morning.  Half a mile with my watch only (left phone in the house), with my ear buds connected to the watch, listening to my music.  and the second walk with my watch at home and my phone with me and my headphones connected to the phone, listening to my music.  

Here's what I found out.  The music no longer pauses when the audio guide comes on, but the music gets "muted" (sound lowered and audio voice volume raised).  This happened with both devices/combinations.  My best bet is that the updated health app made this change.  There may (or may not) have been complaints about the music pausing for the guide (you wouldn't believe how many people hate their music to pause), so they programmed this compromise.  It does not bother me, as I can clearly hear the audio guide, and barely hear the music when it's muted.  What *would* bother me is if I took or made a phone call and the music did not pause, but you wouldn't believe how many people complain about that, too.

I'm having the same issue. I believe there was an update in mid-May that may be the cause. I've been looking for a fix since then without success

Did you read my response above?  Yes, there was an app update.  Yes, the music no longer pauses - the volume gets lowered when the audio guide comes on and the audio guide is dominant and in the foreground.

The music volume doesn't lower for me. Almost impossible to hear the voice guide.

Do you keep your music volume all the way up? I keep mine just below the red line. On both my experimental walks, the music volume definitely lowered. I'm not sure if you can change the volume of the voice guide. Let me check.
